Wildcat Highlights: The Top Ten Moments of 2024-25
#6 – Sophomore Mother’s Day Tea: A Celebration of Love, Gratitude, and Connection
At #6 in our countdown of this year’s most memorable moments is one of the most heartfelt gatherings on our calendar—the Sophomore Mother’s Day Tea.
Each spring, our sophomore class invites their mothers, grandmothers, and special guests to campus for an afternoon dedicated to the people who have loved and supported them every step of the way. This year’s tea, hosted by the Class of 2027, was a beautiful reminder of just how special the relationship between a mother and child truly is.
The space was filled with laughter, meaningful conversations, and quiet moments of reflection as guests were treated to light refreshments and a student-led program. From readings and prayers to heartfelt thank-you messages, the afternoon was all about honoring the women who help shape the lives of our students—with love, strength, and grace.
What makes this event so meaningful isn’t just the setting or the ceremony—it’s the chance for our students to slow down, look their mothers in the eye, and say “thank you.” In a world that moves fast, those moments matter.
The Sophomore Mother’s Day Tea is more than a tradition at SJA—it’s a celebration of connection, appreciation, and family. And for many, it’s a memory that will last far beyond the high school years.
