Wildcat Highlights: The Top Ten of 2024-25
#9 – Generations United: The Freshman Grandparents Breakfast
At St. Joseph Academy, we believe that education is not just about academics—it’s about honoring tradition, building relationships, and embracing the people who help shape who we are. That spirit was on full display during one of the most meaningful events of the year: the Freshman Grandparents Breakfast, which takes the #9 spot in our Top Ten Moments of 2024-25.
Held on a beautiful fall morning in our school Media Center, the breakfast welcomed grandparents and special guests of the Class of 2028 for a heartfelt gathering that blended food, fellowship, and gratitude. For many, it was their first time stepping into the school their grandchildren now call home—an emotional and proud moment for all involved.
The event began with a student-led prayer, followed by warm remarks from members of our administration, and reflections on what it means to be part of the SJA family. Guests enjoyed a delicious catered breakfast while spending quality time with their grandchildren, snapping photos, and hearing firsthand about their first few months as high school students.
This year's breakfast saw record attendance, reinforcing just how important intergenerational connections are in our community. Many grandparents shared how moved they were by the warmth, respect, and faith-centered culture that defines St. Joseph Academy.
More than just a meal, the Freshman Grandparents Breakfast is a tradition that highlights one of the most special aspects of SJA: our deep-rooted commitment to family. It’s a reminder that behind every student is a circle of support, love, and sacrifice—and that those relationships are always worth celebrating.
Stay tuned next week as we continue our countdown of the top moments from the 2024-25 school year with #8!
