SJA Students Selected for Ronald McDonald House Teen Advisory Council

We are proud to announce that two of our outstanding students, Tyler Flickinger, Class of 2028, and Reianna Faison, Class of 2027, have been selected to represent St. Joseph Academy on the Teen Advisory Council (TAC) for the Ronald McDonald House of South Jersey (RMH-SJ). This prestigious honor is the result of a rigorous application and interview process, and we are thrilled to see Tyler and Reianna join such a meaningful initiative.

The Teen Advisory Council is made up of dedicated high school students from across South Jersey who come together to support families with critically ill and injured children. Members of the TAC are actively involved in various aspects of the non-profit’s work, including fundraising, meal preparation, and organizing activities for pediatric patients and their caregivers. As part of their experience, students get the chance to work on committees such as Marketing and Development, providing them with invaluable insights into the operations of a non-profit organization.

Through their involvement with RMH-SJ, Tyler and Reianna will have the opportunity to develop life skills that go beyond the classroom—skills such as leadership, teamwork, and empathy. The TAC also hosts events like the annual bowling event, Spare Some Love, which raises significant funds to sponsor a room at RMH-SJ and support their telethon.

This recognition is especially meaningful, as the Ronald McDonald House is a cherished community partner of our Servant Leadership Institute. Tyler and Reianna’s involvement with RMH-SJ is a testament to the values of service and leadership that we strive to instill in all of our students through this program.

Mrs. Jennifer LaRosa, Director of the Servant Leadership Institute, shared her excitement:
"We are incredibly proud of Tyler and Reianna for being chosen to serve on the Teen Advisory Council. Their selection reflects not only their dedication to making a difference in the lives of others but also the strong foundation of servant leadership we cultivate at St. Joseph Academy. We are grateful for the opportunity to partner with the Ronald McDonald House, and we know that Tyler and Reianna will represent our school and their community with integrity and compassion."

Please join us in congratulating Tyler and Reianna as they embark on this exciting and impactful journey!
